(When asked about the encroaching development around Hackney Marshes). They’re just going crazy over there. Building and building and building. I don’t like it at all, and I’m not totally convinced that we need so much new housing; I do think there’s so much empty housing that could be reused, repurposed.
But building is always such a big money spinner. Lee Valley Authority fiddles too much. Can’t resist fiddling, tidying up this space. There’s paths we used to use that we can’t anymore. We’re getting trapped more and more.
