I work in food systems media, helping to communicate the latest food science and technology. My background is in environmental and climate multi-platform communications.
In my work as a freelance photographer, filmmaker and researcher I use a range of techniques to create environmental stories centering around community food systems, social science, environmental action and local, positive stories.
I freelance to a wide variety of commercial clients. I specialise in environmental image and film, but I also offer headshots, event photography, remote editing and much more. As well as nature based commissions, I also work with local community groups, charities, artists and makers.
I hold a degree in Marine and Natural History Photography (BA Hons) from Falmouth University which has allowed me to develop my skills as a photographer, filmmaker, researcher and writer.
As well as my visual work, I also host a podcast, Coffee with Conservationists, which has reached a wide audience and received a glowing review published in BBC Wildlife Magazine (in print and online).
Accompanying this work, I write longer-form pieces exploring community research, photographic theory and natural history. These can be read on my Substack newsletter, ‘Murmuration’.
I work out of West Cornwall and I’m available for work across the UK. To talk more about your project and discuss my availablity and rates, please get in touch.
