I’ve been going to Hackney marshes since I was a little kid. It was actually a lot quieter than it is now. But it's always been such a nice space to have around. I really felt the difference during lockdown, I noticed lots more people started going there. I’ve seen it change over the years which is nice because lots more people are making use of it. I think that’s what makes it so nice to live around here. Especially for people who live in less rich housing, to go and actually have a space out in nature. It’s a shame to overdevelop it because it’s such a big area of green. I don’t know too much about the housing situation but I know there’s a lot of houses that are empty.
