I use the Hackney marshes as a meeting point to hang out with my friends. I think it’s just cool because it’s one of the few semblances of wild nature we left have in London. We climb trees, have picnics in the woods. As much as our parks are lovely, they’re kind of, you know, monocultural. Whereas the marshes feel like you’re kind of entering another place entirely.
